As a gig mime for over twenty years, I swear by this magnificent powder over well blended clown white also by Ben Nye. Always let the powder set for five minutes minimum then brush off and you have a nice matte finish.

I will be using this powder for the role of Marie Antoinette. I tried it out, but haven't done the full make-up for the role. It seems like it will work fine. It definitely lightened my skin (I'm already very pale for reference) without coming across as ghostly or clown white. It was very easy to work with--I'm a beginner at using this type of product, so I was quite happy about that. Also, the price cannot be beat!
